This course consists of different modules to update the students’ knowledge and understanding of anatomy and understanding of sound and hearing, the testing of hearing threshold levels. The identification of problems and when and how to refer a client and report concerns.
Legislation is discussed as this plays a major role in hearing conservation.
The learner must complete all the assessments to complete the course and receive a certificate of attendance. The course is presented as an online course and 1 x pre-course and 1 x summative assessment, which has to be completed in 4 weeks from enrolment.
This course is targeted at all Health care and allied professionals who have completed the 3-day Audiometry course in audiometry testing in the occupational setting.
